recreative
Our recreational classes are designed for children aged 12 months to 15 years. Our approach is to teach them the basics of artistic gymnastics, while maintaining a balance between fun and quality execution. Children learn a variety of gymnastics moves on five apparatus (vault, bars, beams, floor exercises and trampoline).
Throughout the semester, the coaches record the gymnasts' achievements in their booklets to track their progress. During the last class, participants receive a certificate, along with their booklet listing their achievements, which they take to subsequent classes.
KARIBOU / New motor activity program:
Through a series of classes, games, exercises and animations, toddlers are invited to run, jump, dance, roll and climb. Activities are designed to develop motor skills and enable children to feel proud of their personal achievements, thus enhancing their self-esteem. The environment is highly stimulating and welcoming, often accompanied by music. Of course, the primary objective is simply to have fun! The activities are varied, allowing toddlers to experience a wide range of games adapted to their age and abilities.
A parent must be present.
Children will develop their skills in this program based on the writings of Roland Carrasco, one of Quebec’s leading authorities on gymnastics for young children. Parents do not participate in this course.
The program features educational circuits and fun activities, using a variety of apparatus, to develop the psychomotor skills of every young child. The course is divided into three levels:
Athletes are recruited into this program by invitation or after an audition process. The girls invited to this group show great aptitude for artistic gymnastics.
They will continue to follow the preschool program, while working on new, slightly more advanced goals. Depending on their progress, these gymnasts will then have the opportunity to join the recreational program or the more advanced pre-competitive program.
Our classes are based on the Canadian recreational program CANGYM and the introductory workshops of the Quebec regional circuit program. Children learn a variety of basic gymnastics movements on five apparatus (vault, bars, beams, floor exercises and trampoline).
The program is only available to boys from ages 6 through 9.
